What is a good running pace?

Beginners typically run at 7 to 8 minutes per kilometre. Intermediate runners aim for 5 to 6 min/km. Elite marathon pace is around 3 min/km. Your ideal pace depends on fitness level, terrain, and training goals.

How do I convert pace to speed?

Divide 60 by your pace in minutes per kilometre to get speed in km/h. For example, a 5:00 min/km pace equals 12 km/h. This calculator shows the equivalent speed automatically when calculating pace.

What is the difference between pace and speed?

Pace measures minutes per unit of distance (e.g. min/km). Speed measures distance per hour (e.g. km/h). They are inversely related — a faster pace means a higher speed, and vice versa. Runners typically use pace, while cyclists and drivers use speed.
