How is overtime calculated?

Hours beyond your weekly threshold are multiplied by the overtime rate (typically 1.5x or 2x your hourly rate).

In the UK, there is no statutory overtime rate, but 40 hours per week is a common threshold. Check your contract.

Time-and-a-half means 1.5 times your regular hourly rate. If you earn £15/hour, overtime at 1.5x pays £22.50/hour.
